The Los Reyes tragedy; the young women murdered in the Christmas Caravan have been identified.

The authorities have taken a position regarding the unfortunate event, while citizens call for the funeral of one of the fatal victims.

This Friday  , while the Christmas caravan was taking place in Los Reyes, Michoacán,  a tragedy occurred in which two young people died and three others were injured when they were run over by a truck, according to preliminary reports.

The driver who hit the young women is believed to  have been intoxicated  and fled the scene upon realizing what had happened.

The young women who lost their lives were identified as  Andrea and Lorena, ages 19 and 20,  while the identities of the injured remain unknown.

What happened in Los Reyes, Michoacán?

During the night of Friday, December 13, the Christmas caravan was taking place in Los Reyes, and on the corner of  Torres Quintero and Nicolás Bravo streets in the Centro neighborhood , a Ford F-150 pickup truck ran over the young women.

The group that was hit by the driver, who was allegedly intoxicated, was made up of young people and teenagers.

Last goodbye to Lorena

Through social media,  the people of Los Reyes  are urging everyone to join the family at the wake for Lorena, one of the young women who died after being hit by a car in the Christmas Caravan. The wake is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the La  Paz funeral home in La Zapata.
