A baby was found abandoned in a shoebox in Córdoba.

The boy was found naked in temperatures below 5°C. Neighbors discovered him on a street corner in the city of Córdoba. He is currently hospitalized.

A newborn baby boy was found abandoned on a street in Córdoba, after which he was taken by police to the city’s Children’s Hospital. The baby was naked inside a shoebox, found at the intersection of Alem Avenue and San Fernando Street, in the General Mosconi neighborhood. The child was found in the early hours of Saturday morning, when temperatures were below 5 degrees Celsius, by neighbors, who alerted the police. 
A patrol car rushed him to the Children’s Hospital, where he apparently arrived suffering from the onset of hypothermia. Hospital authorities notified the Justice Department about the baby’s condition. At the time of publication, there was no information about his mother or the reasons why he was abandoned in the street.
