Father who killed his 4-year-old son also allegedly raped him
Orlin Danery Ruiz is accused of three crimes: domestic abuse, rape, and parricide. He claimed that the devil ordered him to kill his son in exchange for power.
TEGUCIGALPA. The spokesman for the Police Directorate of Investigations (DPI), Cristian Nolasco, revealed today that Orlin Danery Ruiz, the individual accused of beating and burying his four-year-old son, identified as Orbin Danery Ruiz, in the community of Santa Bárbara in the municipality of Iriona, Colón, also allegedly sexually abused him.
The above was stated by the official to a media outlet in the capital, after being asked why the man is also being prosecuted for the crime of rape.
“He is accused of three crimes: domestic abuse, rape, and parricide. The rape charge stems from the preliminary forensic report, which has established that there was some kind of harm inflicted on the minor,” Nolasco said, adding that the man acted under the influence of drugs and that all of this will be corroborated by the autopsy results and the forensic medical report.
It is a sign that, after what happened, the child’s body was sent to the morgue in San Pedro Sula, where it was subjected to studies to determine the true causes of his death and also to collect samples that could incriminate the accused.
The boy’s mother, Yadira Isabel Castro Almendárez, is also being prosecuted in this same case, as she is suspected of helping her partner bury the boy’s body. She is accused of obstruction of justice.
Investigations have established that the father went to collect firewood in a wooded area, where he beat the child to death. He then carried the body back to the house, where he and his wife allegedly buried it in a mass grave in a pasture near the house. Locals revealed that they attempted to flee, but residents, along with an aunt of the heartless father, managed to apprehend them and obtain their confession, including the location of the child’s burial.
Meanwhile, the man’s initial statement was that the devil told him to kill his son in exchange for great power. Both are currently facing justice in the courts of the municipality of Trujillo.
It should be noted that it was the outraged residents of the Santa Bárbara community who turned the child’s parents over to the police after they confessed to the crime and revealed where they had buried him.
Furthermore: Meanwhile, the accused was sent to the Tocoa Penitentiary Center in Colón after being ordered to pretrial detention. The initial hearing will be next Monday, February 20, at 9:30 a.m.
