A serious traffic accident this afternoon has caused shock among residents and users of one of the city’s main urban thoroughfares. The violent collision involved a public bus and a private car, resulting in several injuries, significant property damage, and the complete closure of the road for several hours while rescue teams worked at the scene.
How did the accident happen?
According to initial reports from traffic authorities, the accident occurred around mid-afternoon at a busy intersection. While the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation by technical units, eyewitnesses indicated that the bus driver appeared to lose control while attempting to negotiate a sharp curve, causing the bus to cross into the oncoming lane and collide head-on with the smaller vehicle.
