(VIDEO) Colombian model and presenter arrested for kidnapping and extortion ???

Beautiful, but very dangerous…

Authorities in  Cali, Colombia,  arrested  presenter Paulina Karina Díaz García on Monday , on charges of extortion and kidnapping.

Agents from the  Gaula unit of the Metropolitan Police  in the aforementioned city captured Díaz García for his alleged participation in the kidnapping of two men in December 2011, for whom they demanded 3 billion pesos in exchange for their release.

Along with the presenter, a man known as “The Witch” was arrested, who allegedly held the victims captive.

According to the Police, on December 30, 2011, the woman allegedly entertained the victims, identified as the  merchant Hugo  López Moncayo and his friend, the lawyer Milton Caro, in a nightclub in the municipality until she took them to the captors.

Meanwhile, the alleged accomplice kept the kidnapped people in custody.

“The kidnappers demanded three billion pesos for the release of the two people. When the investigation began, two arrests were made, and later the alleged participation of  Paulina Karina Díaz García  in the crime was established, involving distraction and intelligence activities to lure these people out and hand them over to the kidnappers,”  Brigadier General Hugo Casas , commander of the Metropolitan Police, told El Colombiano.

As a result of the investigation, authorities prosecuted several other individuals. Two of them are serving 23-year prison sentences. In addition to their kidnapping convictions, they are also serving time for theft, having stolen 9 million pesos from a bank account.

Díaz García was a presenter for the sports section of  Guía Magazín, a program on Channel 2 in Cali . It was precisely at the television station that the journalist was arrested.

“Ms. Paulina Díaz had been occasionally participating since last year in the sports section of our afternoon program Guía Magazín, which airs daily from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, presenting sports news in informational capsules of no more than three minutes in length and without any type of economic compensation,” Channel 2 reacted to the arrest.
